Welcome to Booko ("the App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Booko application developed and operated by jinzhiyi ("Developer", "we", "us").
By downloading, installing, or using Booko, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Booko is a reading highlight management app that allows you to:
Booko is a local content-management tool. It does not provide user accounts, social networking, public content hosting, publishing, public display, user-to-user distribution, or public sharing features. We do not operate servers that host user-created content.
Optional features may connect directly to services selected and authorized by you, such as iCloud and the WeRead Skill gateway. Purchase transaction information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat as described in our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Booko. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Booko does not require or provide any Booko account registration. Content is stored locally on your device and, only if you enable iCloud sync, may be synced through your personal iCloud account, which is managed by Apple.
Booko offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Lifetime Unlock") through Apple's App Store. It unlocks the non-AI premium features included in the applicable purchase offering for as long as Booko continues to make those features available, subject to these Terms and applicable law. Features that use AI models, cloud inference, or related computing services are not included in Lifetime Unlock and, if offered, may require a separate purchase, subscription, usage-based payment, or other plan clearly disclosed before purchase. "Lifetime" does not promise that the App, updates, compatibility, or any third-party service will be available indefinitely.
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat provides purchase validation, entitlement management, restoration, and purchase analytics as described in our Privacy Policy. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
The Lifetime Unlock is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew. No subscription billing applies.
If you reinstall Booko or use a new device signed in with the same Apple ID, you can restore your purchase from within the app at any time. No additional fees will be charged.
All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies. The Developer cannot directly issue refunds.
Certain features of Booko are available for free. The Developer may change which features are free or premium in future versions. Any change affecting an existing purchase will be handled in accordance with applicable law and App Store requirements.
As between you and the Developer, content you create or import into Booko, such as reading notes and highlights, remains yours or subject to the rights of its original owner. Booko stores and processes this content locally, except when you choose to use iCloud sync or an external import feature.
The Developer does not actively access, review, edit, host, publish, recommend, or distribute your content. Because Booko has no public posting or sharing service, the Developer generally has no technical ability to monitor content stored on your device or in your personal iCloud account.
If you copy, export, send, or publicly share content using operating-system functions or another third-party service, you initiate that action independently. It is not a content publishing or sharing service provided by Booko.
You are solely responsible for content you create, import, copy, store, process, export, send, or share, and for ensuring that you have all permissions and lawful grounds required to do so. Booko does not verify the accuracy, legality, ownership, or licensing status of user content.
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims, disputes, penalties, or losses arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, or your unlawful use of the App. If your intentional or negligent violation causes the Developer a direct and documented loss, you will be responsible for that loss to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Booko includes an optional client-side connection to the official WeRead Skill gateway. The feature is disabled until you independently obtain an API key from WeRead and choose to enter it in Booko. Booko does not create a WeRead account, obtain a key on your behalf, or access your WeRead data without your action.
When you initiate a connection, search, cover lookup, or import, Booko sends the API key and the request needed for that action directly from your device to the official WeRead gateway. Requests may include a search term, book identifier, pagination information, and the WeRead Skill version. The gateway may return book metadata, cover addresses, your notebook book list, reading progress, highlights, and thoughts. Selected data is then stored locally in Booko and may sync through your personal iCloud account if you enable iCloud sync.
For Apple Books and Kindle imports, WeRead cover matching is optional and requires your choice for each import. Choosing cover matching authorizes Booko to send the relevant book titles and authors directly to the official WeRead gateway for that purpose; choosing local import only does not.
The API key is stored locally in your device Keychain and is not synced through iCloud. The Developer does not operate a proxy for these requests and does not receive or store the API key or returned WeRead data on its own servers.
Booko is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Tencent or WeRead. The WeRead Skill and gateway are third-party services operated by Tencent or WeRead, and their availability and permitted use remain subject to their current terms, privacy practices, technical rules, and your authorization.
You may use the connection only with an API key issued for your own WeRead account and only to access data you are authorized to access. You must not provide another person's key, bypass access controls, obtain unauthorized data, interfere with the service, or use imported content in violation of intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.
You are responsible for safeguarding your key and for actions you initiate with your WeRead account. Tencent or WeRead may change, restrict, or discontinue the gateway at any time. The Developer may modify, suspend, or remove the connection where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, third-party requirements, security, compatibility, or service availability.
The WeRead Skill, API key, and gateway access are provided by WeRead, not sold by Booko. Booko paid features relate only to Booko's own local library capacity and other Booko functionality.
The Booko app, including its design, code, icons, and visual elements, is the intellectual property of the Developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
Booko does not grant you any rights in books, covers, notes, highlights, or other third-party material you import. You must obtain any permission required for your use of that material.
You agree not to:
Booko is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Developer makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
We do not guarantee that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, third-party account restrictions, or claims resulting from content or credentials supplied or actions initiated by you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer's aggregate liability relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the Lifetime Unlock. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from the Developer's fraud, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence where applicable.
You may stop using Booko at any time by deleting the App from your device.
The Developer reserves the right to discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with reasonable notice when possible.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Developer's country of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Booko 是一款阅读高亮管理应用，主要功能包括：
Booko 是一款本地内容管理工具，不提供 Booko 用户账号、社交网络、公共内容托管、内容发布、公开展示、用户间传播或公开分享功能。我们不运营用于托管用户创建内容的服务器。
部分可选功能可能会直接连接至由您选择并授权使用的服务，例如 iCloud 和微信读书 Skill 网关。购买交易信息由 Apple 和 RevenueCat 按照我们的隐私政策处理。
您必须年满 13 周岁（或您所在司法管辖区要求的最低年龄）方可使用 Booko。使用本应用即表示您确认满足此要求。

Lifetime Unlock 是一次性购买，不会自动续费，不涉及任何订阅计费。
如果您重装 Booko 或在使用相同 Apple ID 的新设备上使用，可随时在应用内恢复您的购买，不会产生额外费用。
所有退款请求均由 Apple 按 App Store 政策处理，开发者无法直接发起退款。
Booko 的部分功能免费提供。开发者可在未来版本中调整免费与付费功能的范围。涉及现有购买权益的变更将依照适用法律和 App Store 要求处理。
在您与开发者之间，您在 Booko 中创建或导入的阅读笔记、高亮等内容仍归您所有，或仍受原始权利人的权利约束。除非您主动使用 iCloud 同步或外部导入功能，Booko 会在本地存储和处理这些内容。
开发者不会主动访问、审核、编辑、托管、发布、推荐或传播您的内容。由于 Booko 不提供公开发布或分享服务，开发者通常在技术上无法监控您设备或个人 iCloud 账户中保存的内容。
如果您通过操作系统功能或其他第三方服务复制、导出、发送或公开分享内容，该行为由您自行发起，不属于 Booko 提供的内容发布或分享服务。
您应对自己创建、导入、复制、存储、处理、导出、发送或分享的内容承担责任，并确保已取得实施相关行为所需的全部许可、授权或其他合法依据。Booko 不核实用户内容的准确性、合法性、权利归属或授权状态。
在法律允许的范围内，因您的内容、您违反本条款或违法使用本应用而产生的投诉、争议、处罚或损失，由您承担相应责任。如果您的故意或过失违反行为给开发者造成直接且有证据证明的损失，您应在适用法律允许的范围内承担相应责任。
Booko 内置了可选的客户端连接能力，用于连接微信读书官方 Skill 网关。该功能默认不会启用；只有在您自行从微信读书获取 API Key，并选择将其输入 Booko 后才会使用。Booko 不为您创建微信读书账户，不代您获取 API Key，也不会在未经您操作的情况下访问您的微信读书数据。
当您主动发起连接、搜索、封面匹配或导入时，Booko 会将 API Key 和完成该操作所需的请求从您的设备直接发送至微信读书官方网关。请求可能包含搜索词、书籍标识符、分页信息和微信读书 Skill 版本；网关可能返回书籍元数据、封面地址、您的笔记书籍列表、阅读进度、划线和想法。您选中的数据随后保存在 Booko 本地；如果您开启 iCloud 同步，相关数据可能通过您的个人 iCloud 账户同步。
对于 Apple Books 和 Kindle 导入，使用微信读书匹配封面是可选操作，Booko 会在每次导入时由您选择。选择匹配封面即表示您授权 Booko 为该目的将相关书名和作者直接发送至微信读书官方网关；选择仅本地导入则不会进行该发送。
API Key 存储在您设备本地的 Keychain 中，不会通过 iCloud 同步。开发者不为这些请求运营中转服务器，也不会在自己的服务器上接收或存储 API Key 或网关返回的微信读书数据。
您可以随时在 Booko 中断开微信读书 Skill。断开会删除本机保存的 API Key，并撤回 Booko 的本地连接授权，但不会自动删除已经导入 Booko 的书籍、封面或笔记；这些内容仍由您在本地管理。重新连接时，您需要再次确认授权。
Booko 是独立产品，与腾讯或微信读书不存在隶属、赞助或认可关系。微信读书 Skill 及其网关是由腾讯或微信读书运营的第三方服务，其可用性和允许的使用方式仍受其现行条款、隐私实践、技术规则及您的授权约束。
您仅可使用为本人微信读书账户签发的 API Key，并且仅可访问您有权访问的数据。您不得提供他人的 Key、绕过访问控制、获取未经授权的数据、干扰相关服务，或以侵犯知识产权、隐私、保密义务或其他权利的方式使用导入内容。
您应妥善保管 API Key，并对通过本人微信读书账户主动发起的操作负责。腾讯或微信读书可能随时变更、限制或停止相关网关。因法律合规、第三方要求、安全、兼容性或服务可用性需要，开发者可在合理必要时修改、暂停或移除该连接能力。
微信读书可能按照其自身规则处理或保留网关接收的请求信息。开发者无法访问、控制或删除微信读书系统中的相关记录，也不代表微信读书处理用户请求。
微信读书 Skill、API Key 和网关访问权限由微信读书提供，并非由 Booko 销售。Booko 的付费权益仅涉及 Booko 自身的本地书库容量及其他 Booko 功能。
Booko 应用的设计、代码、图标和视觉元素等均为开发者的知识产权。您不得复制、修改、分发或逆向工程本应用的任何部分。
Booko 不会授予您对所导入书籍、封面、笔记、高亮或其他第三方材料的任何权利。您应自行取得使用这些材料所需的许可。
您同意不会：
Booko 按「现状」和「可用」的基础提供。开发者不对本应用的可靠性、可用性或特定用途的适用性作任何明示或暗示的保证。
我们不保证：
在适用法律允许的最大范围内，开发者不对因使用本应用而产生的间接、附带、特殊、后果性或惩罚性损害承担责任，包括数据丢失、第三方账户受到限制，或者因您提供的内容、凭据及您主动实施的行为所产生的主张。
在适用法律允许的最大范围内，开发者与本应用有关的累计责任不超过您为 Lifetime Unlock 支付的金额。本条款不排除或限制依法不得排除或限制的责任，包括适用法律规定的开发者欺诈、故意行为或重大过失责任。
您可以随时通过从设备中删除本应用来停止使用 Booko。
开发者保留在合理通知的前提下，随时停止本应用或其任何功能的权利。
我们可能会不时更新本条款。变更将通过更新顶部的「最后更新日期」来体现。在条款变更后继续使用本应用，即表示您接受修订后的条款。
本条款受开发者所在国法律管辖并依其解释，不考虑法律冲突原则。
如果本条款的任何条款被认定为不可执行或无效，该条款将在必要的最小范围内被限制或删除，本条款的其余部分仍将完全有效。
